IES MTP-1 MOULDING TAPE PRIMER
Use with MTP-1 Moulding Tape Primer for maximum performance!
MTP-1 Moulding Tape Primer is designed to work in conjunction with IES Conform Tape, Y2K Acrylic HIGHBOND and INTER-MOUNT moulding tapes.
Specifically designed to leave an acrylic polymer film (adhesion promoter) on the surface to achieve maximum adhesion of the attachment tape to the moulding. Mouldings made out of PVC and other certain plastics (see Moulding Tape Application Chart inside of tape package) require use of MTP-1 Moulding Tape Primer to prevent expensive mouldings from falling off.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Remove all old tape from the moulding and the vehicle.
2. Clean surfaces to be bonded with IES Super Clean or IES Specialty Adhesive Remover.
3. Apply MTP-1 Primer to the back surface of the moulding in a uniform coat. Allow to dry.
4. Align the tape then firmly and evenly attach the moulding tape to the moulding.
5. Paint moulding if necessary.
6. Clean the bond area of the vehicle.
7. Align and attach moulding. Press firmly into place.
